Creative Arts Ministry

Purpose:
To provide leadership, direction, training, and opportunity for body members to use their creative gifts to glorify the Lord and minister to the body of Christ. To integrate all of the department ministries so that their functions flow together in the body.

Goals:

• Worship Team: Provide teams to lead the body in worship on Sunday morning and other designated services. This includes vocalists and instrumentalists. Training of new members.

• Dance and Banners: Training body members in the ministry of dance and the use of banners in worship and praise expression. Providing opportunities for participants to minister to the Lord and the body through dance, streamers, banners, etc.

• Drama Ministry: To provide training and opportunities for members to use their dramatic and artistic skills in the writing, performance, and production of dramas, plays, skits, etc. This includes short skits for Sunday morning services; full length plays and musicals, and other dramatic productions for evangelistic outreach.

• Sign Language: Learning and using sign language in services and other functions.

• Puppet Ministry: Using hand operated puppets in Children’s Church, outside ministry, etc.

• Sound and Video Department: Training and involvement of persons in the operations of sound equipment for church services. Training of persons to operate computer programs for video projection.

• Choirs: A graded choral program will be developed as necessary personnel becomes available.

Dates/Times:

Each ministry group will have rehearsals, training sessions, and practices as needed and such will be announced to the members involved.

Opportunities:

This is a new department this year and we are still in the process of formulating our plans and schedules. All body members are encouraged to submit a ministry questionnaire, stating their areas of interest and gifting for inclusion in any of the aforementioned ministry areas. Members will be contacted as each area of ministry is set in order, and training opportunities will be announced.
